Se avete seguito il mio tutorial di ieri su come fare il boot via USB e state usando un SSD come boot principale, avrete notato sicuramente un incremento di velocità considerevole.
Ecco, avete provato a fare uno speed test? Nel caso invece non sappiate ancora quale acquistare, qua su Amazon ce ne sono diversi che potrebbero fare al caso vostro.
La procedura è sempre la stessa, aprite il terminale ed eseguite:
sync; dd if=/dev/zero of=~/test.tmp bs=500K count=1024
Per vedere la scrittura quanto è veloce. Mentre:
sync; echo 3 | sudo tee /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches sync; time dd if=~/test.tmp of=/dev/null bs=500K count=1024
Per vedere quanto è veloce la lettura!
Dovrebbe darvi, se state utilizzando un Raspberry Pi 4, con un SSD con connessione SATA 3, almeno 300-400 MB/s. Sia in lettura che in scrittura!
